During dental school, I was always looking for new ideas and new foods for our family to try for entertainment. We loved Root Beer Floats, but it was fall season – in Arizona – meaning the temps don’t quite drop too far. So the Apple Cider Float was born!
How to make the floats
This recipe is fairly easy and straightforward. You can use bottled apple cider from your grocery store, but it is much better if you can find local cider. Also it is great to support your community in all the ways that you can. Buying local, fresh apple cider is a great way to support any local orchards.
To make the floats you will mix together the apple ciders, add your ice cream, & add the optional toppings.
Apple Cider Float Additions
We love to pair them with some cute, festive holiday straws. It’s also fun to drink it out of a fun cup or even these reusable mason jars. You don’t have to add the whip cream, caramel, or cinnamon stick. It just makes it more fun and cute.
Another idea that would make it even more delicious. Make homemade whip cream! It’s easy and quick, and it would be so delicious on the top.
