Island Park, Idaho {Party with Coleman}

This past weekend we were able to head to one of my very favorite childhood vacations – Island Park, Idaho. My granny and grandpa bought a cabin on the lake when I was in elementary school and we would go there yearly. Because of school situations, summer jobs, etc. we haven’t been able to visit for a few years and I was itching to go – so we made it happen. And it did not disappoint.

We grabbed some Coleman essentials from walmart.com and off we went. The 2-day shipping was perfect since we were in a rush to drive from AZ to UT then to ID. It was a total of 16 hours {one-direction} – kill me, or more like my tailbone {wink!} We were a tiny bit worried about traffic on the way because of the Solar Eclipse, but surprisingly there wasn’t much at all. Sidenote – if you do plan on watching the eclipse any time in the future – don’t wait to get glasses…. but that’s another story.

Check out the highlights of our trip, or scroll down to watch the video at the end.

My favorite part of the trip was getting Grandpa VanOrden on the tube with the kiddos {his great-grandkids}. In case you were wondering – he’ll be 80 in October. Talk about a Stud!!!! I can only pray that my husband and I are as healthy as he is when we are 80. I could go on and on about this man & my Granny and how amazing they are, but maybe I’ll save that for another post – it would make this one WAY too long!

Also the canopy and the chair took us about 15 seconds to set up. My 7-year-old daughter {Tylee} was big enough to help with the process. That tells you how easy it is to get your party going.

Camden fell in love with Granny’s puppy towel. All he needed was that towel, his Granny, and some scooby-doo snacks {aka teddy bear crackers} and he had a huge smile on his face.

We pretty much spent the entire trip on the lake – or in the cabin eating yummy food! It can’t get any better than that, right?!

We knee-boarded, did cannonballs, skied, did some major tubing, took some rides on our paddle boards, and even caught a tiny fish with a plastic cup. It was heaven. The scenery is gorgeous and the company is even better!

You know those moments with your cousins that you never forget?! I know that Miss Tylee made some of those on this vacation – and it is so fun to see her playing in the same places where I played growing up.

We even got to watch Uncle Brandon take a pull on the skies— he’s pretty good – even for an “old man”!

And yes, my husband and brother are both named Brandon. Sorry if that gets confusing {wink!}

Brandon {MY HUBS} took a pull on the wakeboard and did a few flips – my camera skills weren’t up to par in the low light though so we didn’t get a great picture – but check out that sunset.

All in all – we had a great trip! I can’t wait to go back. Check out our highlight video – drone footage is credited to my hottie husband. You’ve definitely got to visit this magical place. And a huge thanks to Coleman for making some amazing products to make our travels even better.
